Earth Day Book Faves!

Today is earth day, so in celebration...here are my top 5 earth coloured books!

1# Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

I love this book so much...and if you read my tweets or this blog often enough, you'd already know this. I constantly feel the need to profess my love of this book and I will never stop re reading..ever.

Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. 2# The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller

Also another book I talk about wayy too much because it is also fantastic. Read it now. fall in love with it now.

#3 Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

This is kind of earthy...but I don't care! It's amazing and you must read it...tbh read any Rainbow Rowell book...she completes me. 

Simon Snow just wants to relax and savor his last year at the Watford School of Magicks, but no one will let him. His girlfriend broke up with him, his best friend is a pest, and his mentor keeps trying to hide him away in the mountains where maybe he’ll be safe. Simon can’t even enjoy the fact that his roommate and longtime nemesis is missing, because he can’t stop worrying about the evil git. Plus there are ghosts. And vampires. And actual evil things trying to shut Simon down. When you’re the most powerful magician the world has ever known, you never get to relax and savor anything.

Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story — but far, far more monsters.

#4 City of Glass by Cassandra Clare 

One of my favourite- if not my favourite, book series' ever..I'm not sure how a human being can write so amazingly...I am jealous. 

To save her mother's life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters - never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.

As Clary uncovers more about her family's past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? #5 Geek Girl by Holly Smale

Another amazing author...Holly also completes me, her new book is actually out...the 5th addition to this series I believe. If you haven't read this yet, pick it up. 

Harriet Manners has high hopes for the new school year: she’s a Sixth Former now, and things are going to be different. But with Nat busy falling in love at college and Toby preoccupied with a Top Secret project, Harriet soon discovers that’s not necessarily a good thing…
